Savannah went to her first baseball game this past weekend. We thought it would be fun to sit in the lawn at the Indians game. Good thing we took all the grandparents along with us because Savannah was quite a handful. All she wanted to do was crawl around to everyone else's blanket and eat their food. If she was not doing that, then she wanted to play with all the other kids in the grassy area behind us. Savannah not only wore herself out, but all of us as well.

Last Saturday, Ricky got yet another perk of his job, Luke and him got to tour the new Lucas Oil Stadium. Unlike everyone else, since they were "media" they got to go where ever they wanted. That place looks awesome. GO COLTS!!

Here is Savannah on her first ride in her new wagon. She was smiling the whole time on our walk around the neighborhood. I think we will definetely get good use of these wheels.

Savannah went to see Dr. Lily for her 1 year check up. Savannah almost passed with flying colors. She is 31 inches long, which puts her in the 95th percentile for height. She weighs a whole 19 pounds and 8 ounces which falls in the 25th percentile. I guess we know who she takes after for height, not Ricky. The bad part about the Dr. was that Savannah got 2 shots and also got some routine blood work done. By the lab results, we found out that Savannah is slightly anemic. Nothing to be afraid of, we just have to start her on a multi-vitamin with iron. Boy does that stuff stink? Dr. Lily told us that we have done an awesome job at parenting for the first year, but that it only gets harder as she gets older. We are up to the challenge no matter how tough she gets.


This is now Bears favorite spot. He is no dumb dog. He sits right below Savannah whenever she eats anything. Savannah always eats a bite and then throws a bite for Bear. One for me, One for him. How is the girl ever going to gain weight and the dog going to lose weight with this behavior?

Since this past weekend, Savannah has been sleeping extremely well. She has been taking extra long and hard sleeping naps in the afternoon and then falling asleep at night and actually sleeping in her crib without waking up all night. I guess since she has turned 1 and started drinking whole milk and using a sippie cup she is just using up all her energy. Being ONE is tough.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAVANNAH!!

Savannah turned 1 on Wednesday, August 6 and this past weekend we threw 2 parties for her. One party was in Terre Haute with friends and babysitters that we are lucky to have. The other party was in the burg with family and friends at home. Both parties were a hit and Savannah is lucky to have such wonderful people that love her. She loved the cake. Made a little mess with it but not too bad. After her last bite, she just leaned back as if she were full. Boy what a tough job it is too be 1.

This girl had a great time with all her friends and family.

My cousin Chloe also turned 1 on July 14 and Libby was 3 on July 6.

Wow! I cannot believe that my little girl is 1. This year really did fly by, I feel like yesterday I was just telling everyone that we were pregnant. Savannah has really grown up, she has gone through all the milestones from being a baby to jabbering in her baby talk. She has not yet accomplished the walking thing yet, but extremely fast by crawling. She is quite the little squirt I do have to say, but she is our pride and joy and we could not ask for a better daughter.

From Savannah, Ricky, and myself we want to thank all of our friends and family for such a great year. We hope to have many more great years to come. We know that we have lots and lots of wonderful people out there that love us and we hope that you all know that we love you too.
