When Savannah turned 1 we got action pictures of us at the park playing. It was such a big day. August 6, 2008 Savannah turned 1 year and it was the first time she had gone to a park. She absolutely loved it. Here are just a few of my favorite pictures.

Although Savannah is still lazy and not completely walking on her own yet, she does enough to get herself into trouble. She is quite the little booger and I guess you can say she is like her daddy, she is not afraid of the camera.

Savannah thinks she is a big help around the house lately. I suppose she wants some pay for her work.
Here she is helping us pull things out of the dryer. What a big helper with doing laundy, if only she really knew how to fold them and put them away properly. Her dad says she is already doing more laundry then her mom.
She then decided to go into the kitchen cabinet and pull out extra paper plates and cups and set them all over the kitchen floor. What would we do without our little helper.

Oh My! What a difference a year makes. Here are 2 pictures of everybody. The bottom one was right after Savannah was born, Chloe was 6 weeks, and Libby was 2 years old. Now look at the girls. Savannah and Chloe are 1 and Libby is 3 years old. Of course all of us adults are still looking good ;)

We are now back from a wonderful vacation at Rosemary Beach in Florida. Savannah got to visit the beach for the first time. At first she enjoyed and played in the sand, but after day 1 she then decided she did not like the sand on her. She was a little unsure of the ocean as well.



For once we got to spend lots of time with the Milller's. Here is a rare picture when they were actually all together. They are at the age where they don't play together, but give them time and they will be kissin cousins.
Savannah grew fond of her cousins Abby and Andy while we were on vacation. Abby living in Chicago and Andy being in Las Vegas, she rarely gets to see these two.

Across the street were some shops and these water fountains that shot out of the ground. The girls and Ricky got a kick out of runnning through them. I have never seen all three of the girls so happy.




Savannah enjoyed the Florida weather so well, she has now decided that when she grows up she wants to be a lifeguard. Here she is posing for one day to come.

Not sure if I will be able to blog over this next week or not. We are getting ready to leave for vacation. The three of us are going to Fort Walton Beach. When we get there, the whole side of my family will be there. Well almost everyone, only 1 of my cousins, Andy, will not be there. Every other aunt, uncle, cousin, mom, grandma, and sister and family will be there. We are all staying in one big condo for the week. Pray that Hurricane Ike does not come our way, otherwise we may end up leaving early and pray we do not kill one another. Check back soon and we will update you on what is happening in the Semmler's life.

We finally found a way to keep Savannah in one place. She is such a fast crawler and if she ever starts to actually walk on her own, then this is our answer:)




Savannah thinks she can keep up with mommy on the Wii, but who looks worn out here?

Savannah has finally got up on her feet to move things around. If you have seen her, you have seen her unique way of getting around. Savannah does not stand on her feet, but instead uses her knees to move around. Yesterday she finally got up and walked while holding on to something. Then later that night, daddy and I caught her taking 4 or 5 steps all on her own. Of course she has not done it again since, but we will continue to watch and keep you updated when the time comes.
