These are pictures of our front yard during the flood. We were fortunate to not have gotten any water in our house, but it was about half way up our driveway. This was just a minor disaster compared to Hurricane Katrina or the flooding in Iowa right now, but it was definitely enough for me. We were blessed. I worked the night it rained for 14 hours. I only work 5 minutes from home and was unable to make it home that morning. Ricky decided he could not sit around and wait, so he trampled through waist high water to get to a car so he could go to work that morning. He is crazy and I still yell at him for that. Oh well, we survived and are thankful :)

At the beginning of the summer, once you placed Savannah in the grass she would instantly cry. Apparently she did not like it. Once she figured out that we were not going to pick her up she would stop crying but would hold the left leg up in the air. She must have the strongest leg muscles because she would hold it up there for as long as she was sitting in the grass, I am talking like 20-30 minutes.
