We hope everyone had a great New Year's celebration. As usual we stayed in and just hung out. As Ricky says, I guess we are boring people. We went out to eat and then back home to relax and enjoy the end of 2008 and bring in 2009. Below are some of our christmas moments.
The week before christmas we were very busy visiting friends. Ricky and I both had days off before the big holiday and decided to round up and see those who we do not get to visit very often. It started off by going to Champaign, Illinois to see the Ritchie's.

Here Savannah is opening just one of her presents. She got a puzzle, a talking cookie monster, and some big cardboard blocks.
I am not sure who had had more fun with the blocks. Daddy likes to build things, that is if he can do it before Savannah sees it. If daddy is too slow, then Savannah wins and knocks it down first.
Then there is Bear. He too has to be involved and attack whoever is on the floor. As you can see, this was a great gift and used by all.

Laynie loved her smart cycle that we got her. Once she got on and rode it she made our day. She turned around and stated, "Ricky and Robin, this is the best present you have gotten me."
Our next round was meeting up with the Tidrow Family at Texas Roadhouse. We then came back and opened some gifts.

Izzy (their cat) even remembered to buy Bear something. Let me tell you it did not take long for him to consume that bone. It was gone quickly. He had not had a treat like that for a while.

One last stop with friends was going to dinner with Amy, Tommy, and Alana. After that we went back to their house and opened even more gifts. We also enjoyed time jumping in Alana's bed. That was the best.

At last we got to spend the holidays with our families. Christmas Eve we hung out with my family first and then went out to Grandpa and Grandma Freije's house.

We got Tanner a pretend ESPN microphone and headset. Who does Savannah remind you of?

Do you really think you need another cookie, Ricky? Haven't you ate like 10 tonight?

Kissing Cousins!

Every year Grandpa Freije reads, Twas the night before Christmas to the grandkids. Not too many children there this year, but here they are listening to the story. Poor thing, Savannah was way past tired. Here she is laying on her blanket that she got from her great Aunt Ria.
Santa must not have been to hungry, he left some of his cookies and milk behind. However, he did remember to leave mommy and Savannah a letter.

Savannah did well at opening all of her gifts on Christmas. She would almost do it completely on her own. I believe she had a great time. Of course, she was spoiled this christmas by everyone. Our house now looks like our very own toy store. On Christmas Day we continued to spend time with all of the family. After waking up and opening Santa's presents we headed over to Mamaw and Papaw Semmler's house for presents. Again, they spoiled me rotten. Continuing we went to Nanny's House and spent time with Nanny and The Miller Family (Savannah's cousins).

Here is Libby playing with her Smart Cycle bicycle. She was so tired, but just could not stop playing with it. By the end of the night, she would be sitting on the floor pushing the pedals with her arms. I guess she will get some exercise from this gadget. Libby you are the best!
Holidays are exhausting. Savannah was so tired, she laid with Bear just to catch a few ZZzzz's. Much rest was needed by all parties of the Semmler Family.

A big thanks goes out to all of our friends and family. It was great to see each and every one of you, we really enjoyed our time. Hope your holiday season was as much fun as ours:)
