This past weekend, we made the trip to Las Vegas. We had been contemplating this trip for a while and then out of the blue we decided that it was time. We went for a couple of reasons 1. My cousin, Andy, and his girlfriend, Christina, live there and we had not seen them recently 2. It is warmer there than it is here 3. We needed to get away from work and 4. Who doesn't want to go to Vegas and gamble a little bit.

Andy's dog, Bamboozle, loved when Savannah was there. Savannah, on the otherhand, was not quite sure of him at times. She liked playing with him, but did not like that he licked her all the time and tried to jump on her and knock her down. Here she is playing with Bam from the bed, he could not jump up there and she thought it was funny when he chased and licked her hands.

One day we took the whole day and walked the strip with Savannah. Savannah loved walking on the strip and it was a good way to wear her out. Not only did we take her stroller, but we also took her monkey. It is a bookbag with a tail. It looks kind of funny like she is on a leash, but was really handy and she did not mind it at all. I recommend it to all families with toddlers on the run.

At Caesar's Palace there are lots of shops to look at. Our favorite store was a huge FAO Schwartz Toy store. On one of the floors there was this huge piano that we all rather enjoyed. Mommy, Daddy, and Savannah all played. Savannah was barely heavy enough for the music to play, but she enjoyed running from one end to the other with occassional tunes playing.

At night in Vegas, if you do not know, the town lit up with millions of lights. Savannah was in aww and amazement. Her eyes were wide open looking at everything. Later that night after we took Savannah back to Andy and Christina's apartment and put her in bed, mommy and daddy were able to get away and go gamble for a few hours. Mommy should have stayed home because she basically threw her money away, however, daddy did some winning that night.
Our mini trip to Vegas was just what the Dr ordered. We needed to get away and relax for a bit. We had a great time. Thanks Andy and Christina for the fun and excitement, as well as the free room and board. We loved seeing you guys and being able to hang out.

Alright, so I am so excited that you finally updated your blog. However, upon looking at the pictures I just started laughing when I got to the one where Savannah is on the bed and the dog is in front of her. Did you notice that you are in the background or at least part of your back end is...
