Christmas 2009

Look at this little booger! Sometimes she can be so stinking cute. A few days before heading to the burg for Christmas, mommy made up some party mix, with Savannah's help, of course. Here she is while mommy was resting sneaking in and reaching to eat some of it. Daddy happen to catch it on camera. We made tons of this yummy stuff and took it all home for the holidays, the cabinets were full and completely covered. We made way too much, but had fun enjoying making it and don't forget eating it as well. Christmas started early for Savannah, Aunt Pam and Uncle Ralph could not wait until Christmas Eve night to give Savannah her present. Aunt Pam had to give it to her early. Here she is opening there gift that she absolutely loved.
Here we are later at Nanny's house with the Miller's before getting together with the whole family. Always a good time when getting together with Libby, Chloe, and Isaiah. Too bad they all 4 cannot always be looking the same way. Kelly is only in the picture because of course Chloe could not pull herself away from mommy for one minute.
Thanks to the Miller Family for Savannah's guitar they got her. We will have to owe you one in the future.
Baby Isailah, as Savannah would say, loves his basketball game we got him. Here he is just minding his own business and playing. This little guy is so good, he just sits there and plays or just sits there and watches his crazy sisters.
After getting together with my side of the family, we headed off to Ricky's family. We celebrated Baby Tye's 1st birthday Christmas Eve as well. Here he is devouring his Elmo cake. I cannot believe it has been 1 whole year since he was born and look at well how well he is doing. If you do not know, Tye, had to be on an ECMO machine for several days after he was delivered. He had some breathing and circulation problems. You would never know now, he is right on track with his developing for his age. Some would say he is a genius.
Towards the end of the night, Ricky's grandpa Tom always reads the grandchildren and great grandchildren It Was the Night Before Christmas. Here they all are. If you can see Savannah, you can tell she is just exhausted. She was so worn out from all the activity that took place.
After leaving the Freije's we headed to Nanny and Papaw's house to sleep and wait for Santa to arrive. Here are daddy and Savannah writing Santa a letter and preparing some cookies and milk for him. Before heading to bed, Savannah opened up the fireplace doors and started looking for Santa. She yelled, "Santa, are you up there?" This was priceless. Then off to bed we went.
Savannah decided she was so tired from the day before that she was going to sleep in some. Mommy and Daddy got up and took showers before Savannah even knew what was going on. Then she woke up and we started in on the Santa festivities. Here is a picture of Bear on Christmas morning. He loves this day because he always gets a chew toy, which is destroyed in 5-10 minutes and then he gets a gigantic bone. This bone usually lasts him only a day or two, but for some reason this year, he cherished it a little longer.
Savannah did well with opening the first few presents, but then we would have to distract her to open the rest. She would want to open and play with each and every present before moving on to the next. Overall, I think she made out okay and I have no idea where everything is going to go in the house. I guess we will find somewhere for it all to go.
We had a fantastic holiday season this year, even though we did not get to everything we had planned for the month of December. With me being pregnant and ending up in the hospital twice, we still managed to do the most important things. Savannah learned all about Christmas and our holiday traditions and also the true meaning of Christmas. I cannot wait til she gets even older and understands and enjoys everything a little bit more. Oh and next year, there will be yet another new addition.
I just had to post this last picture of the girls. They all got matching sweaters and all looked alike. Don't they just look so innocent? Watch out when these girls get together, lots can happen.
