As scheduled, on March 3, 2010 we headed to the hospital at 5:00 a.m. to have our baby. Here I am nervously awaiting our arrival of our second addition to the family. Our baby #2 would soon be coming via c-section.
After heading back to the c-section suite at 6:30, I was prepped and draped and then Ricky was brought back. A short time later at 7:07 a.m. Austin Edward Semmler entered the world. Here Ricky is getting his first glimpse of him and telling me what his sex is. We now are fortunate to have our boy and our girl. Will we have another one in the future? We will see what our future holds....
The first words I heard the Dr say as he was cutting this baby out of me was, "wow this kid has a big head," and then I heard Ricky say, "wow, he has a head full of hair." Can you imagine what I am picturing behind the curtain? I did not know what to expect.
Austin Edward arrived at 7:07 a.m. on March 3, 2010. He weighed in at 10 pounds 12 ounces and measured 22.5 inches long. I knew this baby was going to be big since I went 38 weeks, but I never imagined he would be this big. All is well and everyone is healthy and doing great.
