Race For The Cure!

Last Saturday, April 18 was the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk in Indianapolis. Since we were both off for the weekend and it was such a gorgeous day, we decided to meet up with some friends and family and walk the walk. The only bad thing about the race was that it was way early in the morning for this Semmler family, but we survived.

Here is the group shot of the friends group. That morning we met with Amy, Tommy, and Alana to walk with us. We had a great time hanging out and getting to see the Spenos family, especially since we were all there.

Here is a shot standing on top of a hill looking back at everyone behind you. There was over 42,000 people that participated in the race. Toward the end of the race we met up with Ricky's parents, Rick and Ruth. Ruth has now been breast cancer free for 8 years. What an accomplishment and a survivor. After the walk, we walked around the tents and stations with the grandparents. I think Savannah had the best time running in the grass afterwards and hanging out with PaPaw and MaMaw.

Here Savannah is running around with daddy. She loved sitting on daddy's shoulders and running. She even had a cape on being super woman. This was such an awesome day and we are glad we could be a part of it all.
